As
we move forward into our 16th season, the Motherlode
Valley Football League continues to evolve, learning
from past experiences while preparing for the future.
The league is governed by its Constitution and Rules
& Regulations for both Football and Cheer.
The MVFL
Board is composed of elected Organizational League
Representatives who serve as the liaison between their
organizations and the league. Each League Representative
holds one voting right on all matters brought before
the Board, while the Executive Officers provide oversight
to ensure proper procedures are followed. Understanding
how decisions are made helps clarify that the MVFL
is a league governed collectively by its organizations.
League Representatives dedicate countless hours beyond
their own organizational responsibilities in service
to the league and its athletes.
Without question, the primary focus of the MVFL has
always been, and will always remain, the student-athletes.
This season, the MVFL is proud to field six Motherlode
teams and six Valley teams. We look forward to reconnecting
with longtime friends and welcoming new ones. Regardless
of outcomes or final scores, we emphasize respect—shaking
hands, displaying sportsmanship, and recognizing that
this opportunity is bigger than any one individual
or organization.
Through
Football and Cheer, the MVFL remains committed to
fostering character, integrity, responsibility, respect,
sportsmanship, toughness, and teamwork in every athlete
we serve, as well as in every adult who attends our
events. We must always pride ourselves on accountability
and lead by example, even when they aren’t watching.
As we prepare
our athletes for the transition to high school, the
MVFL remains open to new organizations interested
in joining our league. Organizations aligned as true
feeder programs, with the best interests of their
athletes and future high schools in mind, are encouraged
to reach out for more information at Motherlodefootball2@gmail.com.
We look
forward to an exciting, competitive, and memorable
season.
